Hello Team,
I am working on FLexCase E2.1 RB(JTAG enabled) VCU. During SW testing it was observed that the JTAG stopped randomly and now i am not able to establish the connection over it. Kindly Note that the peripherals work fine and am able to flash the SW over CAN. What are the possible reasons for the following? Please look into it. Waiting for your response.
Thanks,

Hi Omkar,
It seems like you were using the JTAg only for debugging over Freemaster. Is that right?
When you say JTAG stopped working, do you mean you cannot flash code on the MCU? Or you can’t debug it over Freemaster?
May I also know if you have already checked all the hardware connections? The cable and the PeMicro header can be the source of disconnection as well.
Furthermore, let me know what is the resource/MAP file you are using for Freemaster? Is it the same elf file generated with the binary code when you generate your code?
Thanks,

Hello Amir,
Thankyou for your response. I appreciate your inquiries, and I’ll answer them individually for clarity.
1) I was using JTAG for flashing over S32DS as well as for debugging over FreeMaster. It was functional until it randomly had error for PEMicro debugger connections.(Note: NO issue with any other peripheral over FLexCase E2.1 RB(JTAG enabled) VCU)
2) To be specific on the JTAG stopped working point; I am not able to flash nor able to connect over FreeMaster on the aforementioned VCU.
3) I have verified the PEMicro debugger connections with other target Hardware’s as well and it works fine.( I am able to flash my SW as well as debug over FreeMaster over other VCU’s)
4)I did not get the relevance to your last question of elf/map file, in reference with the PEMicro debugger connection over S32DS and FreeMaster tools, But yes, I am using the appropriate generated .elf file for FreeMaster. Maybe i am unaware of how these 2 things are linked, but will be helpful if informed.Waiting for your response.
Thanks and Regards,
Omkar
