      Hi,

I’ve been having issues where my connection to the controller will randomly drop. Sometimes it’ll take several minutes before it allows me to reach it again (either through pinging it or trying to ssh into it), while other times it requires me to power cycle the controller before I can get back in. My laptop and the controller are both connected via ethernet to the same router.

I did at one point manage to connect it to our network via WiFi, but experienced the same issues when connected only through WiFi.

      Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that it is a bit difficult to connect to the flexcase at the moment. But if you ever get the chance, I would like to collect a few more pieces of information before proceeding:

      • Has this behaviour been consistent since the first time your booted up the flexcase or did it just start happening
      • Did you make any kernel-level changes to the flexcase? Can you provide the output of the command uname -a and the contents of the file /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf?
      • Based on your infrastructure, will the unit be assigned an IPv4 or IPv6 address

I will try to rule out any software related issues before I start looking at any hardware faults that might have happened during shipping.

      Thanks,
      Omar

        Hi Omar,

This behaviour was consistent since first using the controller. I didn’t make any kernel-level changes to the FlexCase.

        Here’s the info you requested:

        #timeout 10
        #menu title select kernel

        label kernel-4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0
        kernel /vmlinuz-4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0
        initrd /initrd.img-4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0
        devicetreedir /dtbs/4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0
        fdtoverlays /dtbs/4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0/rockchip/overlay/rk3568-fiq-debugger-uart2m0.dtbo /dtbs/4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0/rockchip/overlay/rk3568-disable-npu.dtbo /dtbs/4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0/rockchip/overlay/rk3568-spi3-m0-cs0-spidev.dtbo
        append root=UUID=c7587256-cdaa-4c3f-a313-d1da45d126a2 earlyprintk console=ttyFIQ0,1500000n8 console=tty1 consoleblank=0 loglevel=7 panic=10 rootwait rw init=/sbin/init rootfstype=ext4 cgroup_enable=cpuset cgroup_memory=1 cgroup_enable=memory swapaccount=1 switolb=1 coherent_pool=1m

        uname -a output:
        Linux radxa-cm3-io 4.19.193-58-rockchip-gbac1feba87f0 #rockchip SMP Tue Oct 18 09:36:57 UTC 2022 aarch64 GNU/Linux

The controller would be assigned an IPv4 address.

We’ve found out that the issue was a loose pin for the ethernet connection, it has been fixed now and there’s been no issues since. Thank you!
