I’m flashing a .bin file from this tutorial, and trying to follow it exactly:

I haven’t compiled anything from simulink yet.

Can I not use this tutorial because I only have CAN2 set up? I confirm I have Can2L as pin c3 and Can2H as pin c4.

I have flashed the 344 file for my FCE, as shown in the attached image.

There are no CAN messages being received via PCAN view.

Are there some settings required in PCAN view that aren’t mentioned anywhere in the tutorials for the messages to be broadcast? How can this one be troubleshooted?

Got a CAN termination circuit installed – now it worked. Thanks.

If it’s not in the wiring harness/DB9 connector I got from you guys, then it’s not terminated. How can the harness be modified to include the termination, if you can reference the photos I attached above?

Based on the notes in the tutorial, it seems like you have to flash it quickly after connecting. Got this error (attached). No clue what it means.

Please see “No response” message in the attached image. The PEAK CAN drivers are all installed. Any ideas on how to fix and troubleshoot this one?

Thank you, looks like this was at least part of my problem. Will circle back later if I run into something else.

I have verfied via a multimeter there is 12v going into connector pins Q1 and P1 from the battery source.

There is continuity from pins FCE pin C3 (CAN HI) to DB9 Pin 7 and pin C4 (CAN LO) to DB9 Pin 2. This is the Audesse supplied CAN harness adapter.

Nevermind, found a workaround with the command prompt. Thanks

On a related note, I’ve been trying to install the NXP pacakges on another machine. This machine will not recognize the mbd_s32k_hostid command that is used to generate a hostid for the license file from NXP. Do you have any idea how to fix this, or a workaround? I have verified the MBD toolbox is installed, as shown in the second screenshot.
